Thank you!
No soapbox today. I’m writing just to thank you for signing up for and reading these emails.
I began this email project just a few months ago. I wasn’t sure how it would pan out. There are now, to my surprise, hundreds and hundreds of people reading these emails across thirty-four countries, with more signing up each day. Teachers, nurses, doctors, psychologists, academics, people doing all sorts of interesting things in non-profit organizations, architects, businesspeople, campaigners, lawyers, writers, and many more doing work that matters, at least a bit, to them and to the world. I’m getting a growing number of replies and comments from people telling me how these emails have helped them improve something in their working life. It lifts my heart, and encourages me to keep bashing away at the book I’m writing about this.
So: thank you for reading this stuff I write. I hope you’re finding something useful here. I know your time’s precious. I don’t take it lightly that you allow me into your inbox. And I wish you a serene and fulfilling 2025.
With warm wishes,
PS Next proper email in a couple of days—topic chosen with the new year in mind.
